My daughter just came to me with the antithesis worksheet, page 21, and pointing to practice question 2 said, "I can't do this one because I can't even figure out what it means." I looked at it and said, "I can't figure it out, either; I will ask on the forum." So here I am. Here is the question:
Susan came to work ready for a nap. Leisure feeds her soul so she doesn't want to work. As a result, her soul is dry.
I do not follow the connections between Susan, work, naps, leisure, and the soul, although I am assuming that some connections between these things are intended in this sequence of sentences. Can anyone help? Until we figure this out, I've told my children to skip this one. (Yes, I know I should have read it more carefully before I gave it to them to begin with!)
